2014 Norfolk Historical Calendar on Sale Now!

Post Date:08/27/2013
The 2014 Norfolk Historical Calendar, Building Norfolk, is now available for purchase at all Norfolk Public Library (NPL) locations. The calendar retails for $10.00 and features vintage images and fascinating tidbits of information from 100 years of Norfolk architectural history. All images and tidbits were selected by NPL’s Sargeant Memorial Collection staff.

Developed by City Historian Peggy Haile McPhillips and designed by Morris Designs, the Norfolk Historical Calendar is great for families, history buffs, and anyone who needs a way to keep track of their day’s activities. “We think this is a wonderful way to bring Norfolk’s amazing history into your home or office.” said McPhillips. “This is the seventh in our series of historical calendars and it grows in popularity every year.”

The calendar is sponsored by The Norfolk Public Library Foundation in partnership with The Norfolk Historical Society, Dominion Capital Partners, and The Law Firm of Decker, Cardon, Thomas, Weintraub, and Neskis, PC. Proceeds from the calendar sales will go to supporting the new Sargeant Memorial Collection area in the Slover Memorial Library (opening late 2014).

Purchasing a Norfolk Historical Calendar is easy! Stop by any NPL location or go online to www.npl.lib.va.us/HistoricalCalendars. For more information, please call Lori Sharp at 664-7328 x340 or Peggy Haile McPhillips at 664-7310.
