 | Norfolk Commercial Air Service
The first commercial air service in Norfolk was started in 1926 by the Philadelphia Rapid Transit Air Service, and ran to Washington and Philadelphia. It was discontinued after a few months because of high costs. In 1929, Ben Epstein opened an Air Taxi Service between Norfolk and Richmond from his airfield on Granby Street.
