Alphabet & Counting Books

Alphabet books and counting books are among the early books published for children.

Alphabet Books

Alphabet books help children identify letters and their sounds. They stimulate vocabulary development, object identification, and develop observation skills. Many contain rich details or provide a historical perspective. While alphabet books help children learn their ABC's, they also contribute to visual literacy.

Counting Books

Counting books share many of the same features of alphabet books. They help children identify numerals and stimulate observation skills. Generally, counting books provide a clear depiction of numbers and easily identifiable objects to be counted.

Very young children just beginning to familiarize themselves with letters and numbers can learn these concepts more easily with help of attractive books. Your local library has a variety of alphabet and counting books. Visit us soon to select a few good books to share with your little ones.
