Browsers

Browsers are software programs that allow you to read and see information, images, and sounds on the Web. The most common Browsers are:

Internet Explorer

and Netscape

Some online service providers, such as America Online or Compuserve, have browsers of their own and, although those browsers will usually allow you to get to Netscape or Internet Explorer after you are logged on, you must usually go through their browser first.
