This is yet another story about how the young and weak can overcome the wicked and powerful forces in their lives, "the wolves," by using their wits. In a reversal of the story of Little Red Riding Hood, a small boy who takes a shortcut through the forest and encounters a hungry wolf manages to trick the wolf and wall up the animal in his own cave. The wolf is easily manipulated by the boy, who sends him on errands to find ingredients for "boy soup," and then "boy pie," and finally "boy cake." The details of how the boy deals with the wolf makes this a "deliciously humorous" tale.
