The Wolf and the Seven Little Kids
by Jacob & Wilhelm Grimm.
North-South Books, 1995

Bernadette Watts provides warm, homey details in her illustrations of this traditional tale collected by the Brothers Grimm. When mother goat has to leave home to find food, she warns her kids to watch out for the wolf. The seven little kids promise to be careful, but they are no match for the wily and persistent wolf, who finally tricks them into opening the door and then gobbles up six of the seven kids. But the mother goat returns to save her family and exact sweet revenge against the greedy wolf.
