Donations of Materials
Books, audio-visual materials, and other items may be donated to any library location. Materials not used in the library's collection will be sold at library book sales. You may request a tax receipt stating the number of items donated.

The Norfolk Public Library Foundation
The Foundation was established approximately 10 years ago. There are two ways to give to the Foundation. When you contribute to one of the permanent endowment funds, you can feel secure that your gift will last forever because each contribution is placed in trust and only the interest earnings are used. Donations to the current needs fund will be used to fund current projects that will help Norfolk Public Library achieve excellence. A gift to the Norfolk Public Library Foundation will be a gift in perpetuity to support library services. It will help ensure quality libraries now and in the future and help support the library's mission of creating a city of readers.

The Friends of the Norfolk Public Library
The Friends are an enthusiastic group of library supporters who work hard to promote library services. A donation to the Friends will help support special library activities and programs, such as the Summer Reading Program. We will be happy to answer your questions if you are interested in finding out more about making a donation to the Friends. The Friends also accept book donations. Books that are donated may be added to the Library's collection or sold at the Used Book Sale to generate funds for library services, programs, and materials.
