Land of the Morning Calm:
A Visit to Korea

Join us on a "progressive tour" of Korea in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Korean War. Learn about Korean culture, history, and customs at the library, and then walk across the street to visit the MacArthur Memorial where you will be given a tour and the opportunity to participate in making a Korean craft.

The following tours are free and open to the public:

  • January 15 - Korean Culture.
  • February 19 - Black History Month: African-Americans in the Korean War.
  • March 18 - Women's History Month: The role of women in the Korean War.
  • April 15 - Springtime in Korea.
  • May 20 - Asian-Pacific Heritage Month.
