WHAT ARE FRIENDS FOR?

The Friends of the Norfolk Public Library was founded in 1956. Members engage in a variety of activities, from raising money to fostering a love for reading and learning. Those efforts include:
  • Raising money for the new book fund by organizing used book sales.

  • Lobbying for increased state and local funding and improvement of existing facilities.

  • Funding special needs of the library such as the summer reading program, the library newsletter, and the annual Book Review Contest.

  • Download a letter from the Friends and the membership brochure here.
