Norfolk, VA (April 21, 2011) –The Norfolk Public Library is updating its Strategic Directions for 2012-2017 to meet the current and future needs of our customers, and we need your input.  In 2005, NPL took on the task of developing a set of strategic directions that would help guide the Library’s activities over the next five years. After conducting several focus groups and interviewing community stakeholders, 11 Strategic Directions were identified as priorities for the Library.

The 2006-2011 Strategic Directions ensured that energy and resources would be used to provide library services that matter the most to the people of Norfolk. NPL has worked hard to accomplish much of what was laid out in the plan, and now needs the community’s help to update its Strategic Directions for 2012-2017.
