Explore the World @ Your Library during National Library Week, April 10-16

Norfolk, VA (April 8, 2011) - Libraries are places to embark on adventurous journeys through the joy of reading. This April, join Norfolk Public Library (NPL) in celebrating National Library Week and Explore the World @ Your Library.

The observance for National Library Week began in 1958, and is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It’s a time to recognize the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians. All types of libraries; school, public, academic and special - participate.

In honor of National Library Week, NPL is hosting special storytimes featuring NATO countries. Each library location will highlight stories about a different country.
