MOVING TOWARD THE FUTURE: PRETLOW BRANCH LIBRARY TO MOVE TO TEMPORARY LOCATION TO PREPARE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW ANCHOR BRANCH

Norfolk, VA (January 12, 2005) - Construction for the new Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch Library will begin this summer. Pretlow Branch Library will relocate to its temporary location. March 1, 2005 Pretlow Branch Library will close temporarily to complete this move. The Library will re-open on April 1, 2005 at its new location at 120 Balview Avenue.

The temporary location will allow full library service to continue in the Ocean View area throughout construction. Hours of operation, programming, and computer availability will remain the same after April 1. We regret that closing for one month may cause a few inconveniences. However, we are excited about preparing for the new Anchor Branch.
