TWO NORFOLK PUBLIC LIBRARY BRANCHES THAT CLOSED YESTERDAY BECAUSE OF AIR CONDITIONING PROBLEMS REMAIN CLOSED. THE THIRD OPENED TODAY.

Norfolk, VA (July 28, 2005) - Two of three Norfolk Public Library branches that closed yesterday remain closed today. Yesterday, Lafayette Branch Library, Blyden Branch Library, and Little Creek Branch Library, closed because of air-conditioning problems. Little Creek Branch Library opened today. However, Lafayette and Blyden Branch Libraries remain closed.

The air conditioning units are currently being repaired. The Library will re-open the branches as soon as the units are fixed. All other Norfolk Public Library locations are operating as usual. If you have questions or concerns, please call 664-7323(READ).
