USED BOOKS ON SALE EVERYDAY AT NORFOLK PUBLIC LIBRARY’S VAN WYCK BRANCH

Norfolk, VA (May 5, 2005) - How about a couple of Janet Evanovich, Sue Grafton, or Ann Rivers Siddons for the beach at 2 for $1.00? What about rare 33 1/3 albums of bird songs for $1.00? Need to fill in your collection of the Left Behind series by LeHaye? Then check out the ongoing used book sale at Van Wyck Branch Library.

The new Friends of the Norfolk Public Library’s Corner Booksale opened in March. Hardcover versions of recent best sellers, paperback novels, Civil War histories, children’s books, videos and audiobooks can also be found at bargain basement prices. Special offerings will be spotlighted at times so be sure to check often.

Proceeds from the Friends’ sale help the library purchase equipment, sponsor programs, and supplement the materials budget. If this Van Wyck project is a success, the library and the Friends hope to launch ongoing book sales at other NPL locations. Van Wyck Branch Library is located at 1368 DeBree Avenue.
