Norfolk, VA (October 19, 2007) - The Norfolk Public Library Foundation is proud to announce its first fundraising project, the 2008 Norfolk Historical Calendar. The calendar recaptures pieces of Norfolk's past, with 13 historical photographs from the Sargeant Memorial Room collection, and intriguing tidbits about days gone by. The calendar will retail for $10.00 and is now available for purchase at any Norfolk Public Library location.

The Norfolk Historical Calendar, developed by City Historian Peggy McPhillips, is great for families, history buffs, and anyone who needs something to write personal appointments on. "It is our hope that, as you learn more about Norfolk's past, you will feel a growing sense of pride for this little City by the Sea and that you will want to learn more" said McPhillips.
