Norfolk, VA (September 8, 2009) – The Friends of the Norfolk Public Library will host their 7th annual Books & Brew Happy Hour and Used Book Sale on Friday, October 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at a new location this year, the Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch Library, located at 111 W. Ocean View Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia.
The Friends welcome you to this new location which not only promises to offer the same fantastic time and great deals on thousands of books, but also, ample parking availability that is FREE for patrons! Highlighting the event will be live entertainment by Lewis McGehee, hors d’oeuvres and beverages, and the opportunity to purchase books, wine and brew. Tickets may be purchased in advance at select library locations or from a Friends member for $12.00. Tickets are $15.00 at the door.
Anyone who loves reading will have a broad selection of books to choose from, including fiction, nonfiction, biographies, how-to, reference, children’s books, DVDs and more. Hardcover books will sell for $3.00, while paperbacks and children’s books will sell for $1.00 or $2.00. Videos and Audios will sell for $3.00.
