FRIENDS OF NORFOLK PUBLIC LIBRARY'S ANNUAL BOOKS & BREW AND USED BOOK SALE: OCTOBER 19-23, 2007
Norfolk, VA (September 18, 2007) - Do you need a good book to curl up with this fall? Why not stop by the Friends of the Norfolk Public Library's 5th Annual Books and Brew Happy Hour and browse the used book sale while enjoying live music, libations, and light hors d'oeuvres. Kirn Memorial Library in downtown Norfolk will be hosting this annual fundraiser on Friday, October 19 at 6:00 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 at the door. Advance tickets are available for $10 at Kirn Memorial Library or from a Friends member.
Each year, members of the Friends of the Norfolk Public Library organize thousands of books for the Used Book Sale. This is a great opportunity for educators, parents, budget-minded readers, collectors, college students and anyone who loves reading to find a great book.
The Used Book Sale runs for five days. Hardcover books sell for $3.00 while paperbacks sell for $1.00 or $2.00. Stack up on children's hardcover books for $2.00.
