One way they protect your privacy is by preventing sites you visit from knowing which sites you're coming from. Our subscription databases need to know that you're coming from the Norfolk Public Library's website in order to authenticate your password. If you follow our sign-in instructions but are then asked for a username and password instead of being allowed into the site, please check the privacy settings on your virus protection software, and if necessary change them to allow a site you visit to see what site you’re coming from. After you’ve been allowed into the database you can reset your privacy options as desired. |
