The Atlantic Hotel.
Built on Granby Street in 1859, the Atlantic was used briefly as a Confederate command post in 1861. It burned in 1867, and was rebuilt on Granby at Main Street. Burned again in 1902, it was rebuilt in the same location. The Atlantic closed in 1976.

The Monticello Hotel.
The Monticello opened in 1898, and burned on New Year's Day 1918. It was rebuilt, with two additional stories, a year later. The building was demolished in 1976 to make way for the new Federal Building.

The Victoria Hotel.
The Victoria was built in 1904 on East Main Street. It was gutted by fire in 1945, and torn down in 1954 under the downtown redevelopment project.

The Algonquin Hotel.
Built at the corner of Granby and College Place around 1880 as the Norfolk College for Young Ladies, the building became the Algonquin Hotel after 1900. It was later renamed The Lee. The structure burned in 1983.
