The L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest has four quarters, beginning on October 1, January 1, April 1 and July 1. No entry fee. There are three cash prizes in each quarter: a First Prize of $1,000, a Second Prize of $750, and a Third Prize of $500. There is also one Grand Prize each year worth $4,000.
