  • National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
    Has searchable databases on recalls, technical service bulletins, consumer complaints, compliance investigations, and an online questionnaire that can be used to submit a report of car defects the NHTSA should investigate. Also has testing results, regulations and standards, and research and development.

  • Public Citizen.
    Founded by Ralph Nader in 1971, Public Citizen is the consumer's eyes and ears in Washington. The site is comprised of six divisions, Congress Watch, the Health Research Group, Global Trade Watch, the Critical Mass Energy Project, the Litigation Group, and Buyers Up.

  • Telephone Consumer Information Directory.
    Rules governing unwanted telephone solicitations and regulated the use of automatic telephone dialing systems, prerecorded or artificial voice messages, and telephone facsimile machines. Includes a fact sheet about stopping unwanted commercial calls and where to complain about them.
