  • Virginia Senate Session Live Video.
    The General Assembly meets annually, beginning on the second Wednesday in January, during this period a video stream will be available for viewing.     After a decennial census, the Census Bureau assigns each state the number of seats it will have in the U.S. House of Representatives for the next 10 years. States are given the responsibility of drawing legislative boundaries for congressional districts as well as for state legislative districts.
