| Launched September 23, 2000, in Kent, Connecticut at the Conservation of Contemporary Photographs symposium, this site brings together 19th Century technical instruction, contemporary research, an online forum for conservation treatment and a wealth of images.
A permanent part of the photography exhibition at the Harry Ransom Center, University of Texas at Austin, this site documents the history of photography from the birth of Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in Chalon-sur-Saône, France in 1765 to the acquisition of three Niépce artifacts, including the First Photograph, to the Center in 1963.
