Volunteer of the Month

Jennifer S. Worsley
 
Ms. Jennifer S. Worsley is a regular volunteer at Blyden Branch Library and a patron of the surrounding community. Each month she gives about 15 to 20 hours of her time to the library assisting with various children’s programs and activities.

When Ms. Worsley is not volunteering she is the Director of Programs and Research for the Restoration House. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Norfolk State University in Personnel/Industrial Relations; Master’s in Business Administration from Ohio University; and is completing Doctoral studies at Old Dominion University. She is a member of the Association of Institutional Research, Education Research Association, Council for Exceptional Children, Council from Minority Public Administrators, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

In addition to being a library volunteer at Norfolk Public Library’s Blyden Branch, Ms. Worsley also directs the Imani Book Club at Horace Downing Branch Library, and teaches adults to read for the United Way. Ms. Worsley has one son, Floyd Jr., who is the apple of her eye.

The Norfolk Public Library staff appreciates her hard work and dedication to being a library volunteer.
