Congratulations to the Norfolk Public Library
Volunteer of the Month
September 2011

Steve Sparks

Steve has been volunteering at the Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch Library since March of 2011. He is incredibly dependable, talented, intelligent, patient, and skilled with computers. His main volunteer task at Pretlow is working in the computer labs assisting patrons 8-12 hours per week. Steve retired after working for 33 years with the Army as an IT specialist. He volunteers with the library as a way of helping others while utilizing and keeping his IT skills fresh. He is also very civic minded and works to improve his Willoughby neighborhood. As an active member of the Willoughby Civic League, he even walks and picks up trash to improve the local neighborhood.

Thank YOU, Steve, for all you do for NPL!

The Norfolk Public Library appreciates Steve’s dedication to the library volunteer program

He will also be featured in the NPL Newsletter.

The “Volunteer of the Month” receives a $10.00 gift card to Barnes and Noble and well as a Certificate of Appreciation.
