Congratulations to the Norfolk Public Library
Volunteer of the Month
May 2012

Diamond Starks

Diamond Starks has been a volunteer at the Lafayette Branch Library since February of 2012.

Diamond volunteers every day after school. In addition to putting away books and keeping the shelves straight, she enjoys helping out with children's programming. She even served as one of the hostesses at Lafayette's Fancy Nancy Tea Party in honor of Women's History Month.

Showing great initiative and always looking for ways to help, Diamond has been described as a "super volunteer" by those with whom she works at the Lafayette Branch Library. "She's truly a gem," says Library Associate Megan Mulvey.

Diamond is twelve years old and a student at Lafayette Winona Middle School. In her free time she likes to practice her violin, play on the computer, read, and watch movies. Diamond's favorite book is Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Thank YOU, Diamond, for all you do for NPL!

The Norfolk Public Library appreciates Diamond's dedication to the library volunteer program

She will also be featured in the NPL Newsletter.

The “Volunteer of the Month” receives a $10.00 gift card to Barnes and Noble and well as a Certificate of Appreciation.
